Did you apply for both IMBA and MIM concurrently? If you didn't, it is odd that they would admit you to a program that you didn't apply to!
I don't know much about the MIM program. Although, since you're on the same campus I'd imagine you'd have access to the same resources as the IMBAs. I think MIM programs are very similar to MBAs but are usually for those with less work experience. It's more "academic" vs. "practical."
At any rate, for some real feedback on the program you should join the facebook group for IE masters students. It's called "IE Masters 2010." Although, obviously since we're all applicants we are in the same position as you. we are no more experts on what the "returns" are on the program. For that maybe you can find a Faceboko group for the class of 2009 or even 2008. Good luck!

hello everyone, me too applied for the IE MBA and got a placement for the MIM,
This is indeed strange. Is this what IE is doing now, passing applicants that do not get into the MBA program directly into the MiM program? I'd be offended if I were offered enrollment in a program that I didn't even apply for.

Yes, it does seem to be what they're doing. I've heard this from several people... good way to collect everyone's tuition while keeping rankings high for the MBA program!
