What are your career goals? In practise, full-time strategy roles are in management consultancies that recruit from a small number of schools that require higher GMAT scores.
NGOs and public sector organisations are not big recruiters of MBAs. They tend to focus on schools of public policy and public administration.

Hi Duncan,
Thanks for the response. Career goals ;in a short time is to get into a good b-school with pretty good job opportunities to offer, so that in a long run i can work for my dream of working in a non profit organization.
It will be really helpful if you could suggest me some good colleges in this region of GMAT, which usually have good placement record ?
I asked about strategic management since I read about it recently and was just curious to know more on it.

You can answer your first question by reading the post above. Search the board at http://www.find-mba.com/board for the IOMBA. It's a well designed course, but I don't think there is a clear demand for graduates from this programme.

Hi Duncan,
I did some research and decided like I need to do an MBA by which I need to land up in a job and this previous post regarding working in a NGO is like a dream I would like to go behind after a long time since I cannot afford to do this course and end u nowhere. So, now I am like when I settle down somewhere in abroad and when I am stable and I will be able to afford something like the IOMBA, I will go for it.
So, again, for an Indian with a GMAT of 640,which colleges in Europe will you suggest , taking into consideration the probability of landing with a job.
How do you rate the Pforzheim University MBA ?
Apart from Europe, I was considering UCT GBS adn NUS also. How do you see these choices?

Seriously, take a look at GMAT Tiers - strong schools for your GMAT www.find-mba.com/board/27082 It shows that NUS is way out of your reach. UCT is a great option. Search the board for Pforzheim - no need to repeat my comments here.

Hi Duncan,
Thanks for the reply. Yup, I have gone through the tiers and as you said NUS is way out of reach probably and cape town has an average less than 640. But I just made a small list that's all. I am taking off NUS from my list. Just take a look at this :
UCT GBS
HHL LEIPZIG
ESMT
HS Pforzheim
Vlerick.
What confuses me regarding UCT GBS is I couldnt find many Indian alumni in this college and hence just had a question in my mind regarding the employment in SA.
By the way, I am giving a second attempt on GMAT in the last week of Jan.

I think what you are missing out is that you are an Indian with the minimum three years' work experience for an accredited MBA. If you have a 640 GMAT, then a school with a 640 average is a stretch school for you because you are less attractive than the average candidate. At ESMT and Vlerick, for example, the average student will be around 30. You need a better GMAT and ideally a year's extra work experience to seriously target these schools.

Yup, now I have registered that. Thanks a lot for your time.
