Hello,
Just reaching out to get as many opinions as possible.
I got admitted at HEC Paris with 22K scholarhisp, and I am in the waiting list at INSEAD. My preferred choice would be INSEAD because of brand recognition mainly.
I have a few weeks to wait for a potential call, after such I am due to pay the first fee to HEC.
Profile
Italian, Management/Industrial engineer. WE: 4 years as IT International Project Manager + 1 year as management consultant in Deloitte. GMAT 740 (49/41), IELTS 8.0
I can think of a few options a the moment:
a. I wait for HEC deadline. If I don't get a call by INSEAD by then, I accept the offer.
b. I apply to another MBA (I was thinking of IE Madrid, kind of positioned in the middle according to several sources), so I can "buy" more time with INSEAD, but refusing HEC.
c. ...
Thanks to anyone who will spend time to answer, any opinion will be much appreciated.
Cheers

What are your goals? Why these schools?
The deposit for HEC and its scholarship are tiny factors compared to the different outcomes and strengths of these schools. Focus on the outcomes not the finance.

Hi Duncan,
Thanks for your answer. Main drivers beyond my choice are:
1. Achievement of a true international profile (I would prefer europe though as a country of residence)
2. Would like to work in high-tech industries or international organizations
I forgot to mention that all of this was for January intake, as I was late for Sept one, so this narrowed the options.
Thanks

Okay, I strongly recommend HEC because this will give you time to test out directions, develop language skills and network. Insead would be the right option if you worked for and want to return to one of their major recruiters, and spoke and wrote fluently a second major European languagesl.
