Hi guys,
I am a seafarer with around 4.5 years sailing experience spanning from 2009-2019 (rank: 2nd Mate), currently planning to do an MBA to switch to a shore job. My preferred country is Germany as its the industrial hub of Europe. Recently I have given my first attempt at gmat with a meager 550 score. Basis above I would like to know firstly, what are my prospects getting into Hochschule Pforzheim. Secondly, what are the job prospects for a candidate with my sailing background, that said, I do not have a preferred field at the moment and I would definitely not mind a job that is unrelated to shipping.
Thank you,
Any and all replies are highly appreciated :)

Why Pforzheim? 550 is its minimum, and candidates are typically around 30.

Thanks Duncan. My reasoning was the 2 years will give me more time to study German and also some more time to do job hunting. Also the fees are not as high as others. But my main doubts still remain the same.

I think language skills and networking will be key. Your background is usual and interesting. I'd certainly apply, and start learning German now.

Also, take a look at the post linked in my profile page about using LinkedIn. It might give you a good method to compare these schools. Because of your background in shipping, I also wonder about Rotterdam.
PS There's also the Kühne logistics university in Hamburg. It has an MBA with local accreditation.
