There's a nice video here about the ESSEC SMIB, which is an MBA alternative aimed at engineers (http://www.campus-channel.com/fr/direct/73/essec). There's a nice discussion at 20?52 about international students looking for work in France. Around 20% of international students are looking for positions in France, but many of them find themselves in taking a short-term internship in France and then moving out of the country.

At least they bothered to answer in english ... time ago I took part to a similar event by AIX and it was 95% in french :-)
By the way they looked a little too much confident answering to "Bonjour. Je suis ingénieur Centrale Lille. Je veux faire de la finance en Asie. Pensez-vous que le SMIB peut m'apporter ?"
Times ago I sent them my cv asking about this program and they told me that I would be a better candidate for the global mba.. honestly I don't know their criteria. When I asked them about placement report they stopped answering me ..
