I took my GMAT and scored a 740. I was looking for critical feedback to see if I have a real chance at my dream school INSEAD.
I already have a master's in management degree from a UK school (not a top school). My total work experience includes 1 year in sales prior to the master's and then 3 years in consulting as an analyst.
I want to use the INSEAD MBA to continue in consulting but in a larger firm.
Any feedback on my profile would help. Thank you!
Can I get into INSEAD?

Can you be a bit more specific about your work experience? So far you sound like a pretty generic applicant.

Average work experience at Insead is in the 6 year range, meaning that you'll be a little on the light side. I agree with Duncan, it would be interesting to know more about your work experience. I would think they'd be curious to know about your career growth after your masters program and where the MBA would fit into that progression.

There's not much else to say about my work experience. Before I did my master's I was an account assistant for sales for a boutique firm in the fashion industry. Since finishing my master's degree I have worked in the back office of a consulting firm as an analyst (financial data). It is not a big or well known firm but excels in this region of the US. I also have some volunteer work experience as a tutor.

Unless your firm is full of Insead alumni, then you don't sound like a competitive candidate for the full-time MBA there. What are your career goals?

There are some INSEAD alumni but honestly it's a real mix and there's not one dominant alumni base. Is there anything I can do to improve my chances??

Another year of work experience would help.

Get a job at a firm with a stronger connection to Insead.
