Can anybody recommend reputable and nationally diverse 1-year MBA programs in Central Europe? Someone recommended CEU, and Budapest looks like a nice city, but I don't know much about the program and faculty. There's a lot of information on their web site, but I'm more inclined to listen to first-hand experience. Anybody been there? talked to them?

Hi Redsonja!
Originally I'm from Cuba and spent a couple of years with my parents in Budapest which is indeed a great place to stay, especially if you like to party and enjoy the youth way of life.
I met quite a number of people from different places of the world who were studying at CEU. I'm not sure if I met anyone doing MBA but generally I got impression that the students were really happy with the quality of education and studying environment provided at CEU.
Hope this helped.
Good luck!

Are you looking for a degree from a U.S.-based university? If so, you can get a Purdue Krannert MBA degree from GISMA in Hannover, Germany. That's usually called "Northern" or "Western" Europe, though. I have never heard the term "Central Europe" used before.. where would that be? Germany is pretty central, I think.
Edit: According to Wikipedia, Germany could be considered to be in Northern, Western OR Central Europe.

I just read about CEU in an article on this website, it looks like a pretty reputable school:

Check it out, there's also information about other universities in that region.

The MBA Programme from the European University Viadrina at the Polish border close to Berlin should be quite good. It is focused on Cental and Eastern Europe and teached in English.
