Urgent Help: SP Jain in Dubai vs. HULT in Dubai

There are some good threads on Dubai here you can read through:
http://www.find-mba.com/board/25084
http://www.find-mba.com/board/8554
And also a thread on Abu Dhabi: http://www.find-mba.com/board/8554

Since you have a low GMAT, don't have recent work experience and are not looking for a full-time programme your odds of getting a scholarship are limited. I suggest you improve your GMAT.

Use this method http://www.find-mba.com/board/33571 to find the best schools for finance. With the exception of LBS, the top ten schools for MBAs in UAE finance roles are NOT in the UAE, but in India/Pakistan or the AUB in Lebanon. Looking at people in finance/banking/investment (rather than those in other industries) the pattern is the same.

PS One of the Pakistani colleges has a UAE campus: http://www.preston.ae/

I think you'd be better off at SP Jain, because it has a full-time campus in Dubai and thus it will have better careers support. I'm not sure that either Cass or Hult has real careers support in Dubai (Hult has one academic in Dubai, Cass may have none). SP Jain will have a much better infrastructure. Between Cass and Hult *academically*, then Cass is clearly the better option because it's a well-established brand and part of a real university. But Hult may have better careers support.

Hi Duncan

SP Jain full time MBA seems to have rotation around three campus (sydney, dubai etc 3 months each place). I am in a position where I can only do a dubai based MBA (family/personal constraints) that does not involve travel. I researched about SP Jain's part time MBA (2 yrs). Again I am unable to go for their evening classes which is the only reason for not being able to choose SP Jain. Hult and Cass have weekend MBAs combined with 2 weekday 9-5 ( 4 days in a month). this is what works for me due to personal/family reasons. I am confused between the two for the same reasons you mentioned - academically cass is stronger but while neither have superb career support atleast hult seems to have something in place compared to cass. I am looking for a good academic education (finance, management subjects) along with a good career support too. How does Manchester business school fare?

Because part-time MBAs are for people who are already in work, many of whom are sponsored by their employers, they generally do not have strong placement services. Strong placement services have a strong economy of scale to them. I think you should ask these schools to introduce you to local alumni to ask them.
