Can someone help me understand why do I have to pay over 50'000$ to have the MBA from AUB rather than 20'000$ to get the MBA from ESA?
Both are in Beirut and have almost the same curriculum!
Is it the right school for me

AUB is the only US-accredited MBA in the country, and the one with the most powerful alumni network - I guess three times more powerful the ESA network. The value of the degree is more than the curriculum (otherwise, you would want the books, not the experience).
The executive MBA at ESA, which is $28,000, includes both the ESCP and ESA MBAs. I think that's a better qualification and an excellent education.

Dear Mr. Ducan,
I am more confused now.
AUB is US- accredited, and has powerful Alumni.
ESA includes ESCP & ESA MBAs and you mentioned "I think it is a better qualification and an excellent education".
Which should I select?
Thank you for your reply.

Well, I think it's personal choice. ESCP-ESA's joint executive MBA is a better programme and, personally, I would choose that. However, if you were taking the MBA primarily to build a strong network, then I think AUB might give you better connections.

kamalhajj,
I think the ESA ESCP looks great from a pure academic viewpoint. BTW, not sure why the still refer to the old name ESCP - EAP, ESCP has dropped EAP for a while.
Also will you have the same faculty of ESCP EMBA from ESCP flying over from France?

The ESCP programme is only $20,000 at ESA. That's really a great price.

Kellogg(in usa) costs 160000$; the Kellogg-Recanati is 60000$ (62% discount)
Espc is around 66810$ in Europe and 20000$ in Beirut (66% discount)
Very good deals for people living there...

Honestly, if you already have a great network outside the Levant and don't mind a year and a half in the sun then why not do that instead of a full-time MBA in Paris or Chicago? You'll have more senior class mates and professors, lower living costs and an extra language after a year and a half. Plus, much easier admissions.

An Executive MBA is an MBA for people with more experience, and who want to work while studying.
What are your goals? Why do you want an MBA?

By Lebanese standards, Université La Sagesse is a good school. But it doesn't have a strong MBA programme.

ok if i have 4 years experience and MBA degree from univerité sagesse, and i want to travel outside lebanon, and work abroad, do i have a good qualifications to do so? and if i had PHR courses after my MBA is it good for me, or not?
Posted Jun 07, 2012 21:23
No, I think the Univerité Sagesse is not well known outside Lebanon. For that, take the ESCP degree at ESA or go to the American University.
PHR is Professional in Human Resources? I think that's only well known in the USA.

PHR is well known in lebanon as well, the problem with the ESA programme is the time of the courses, i have to work to fund my studies and ESA don't allow me to do so.
thank you for your time, i appreciate it !

No, that's not quite right. ESA has a part-time MBA, so you could work during that: http://www.esa.edu.lb/en/MBAExecutive

Take the ESA programme mentioned above. Unlike NDU, it has respected international accrediation through its French partner: http://www.ndu.edu.lb/academics/fbae/masters/mba.htm
