You can do it in 12 months as well if you wish. I was initially admitted to 12 months, but then decided to participate in exchange programme, which makes it 16 months.

Regarding the "global brand"... First of all, building a brand takes time. This was the first year when HKUST was ranked in top20 in both major rankings, nobody knows whether it will be there again next year. It will be in the upper half of both rankings, no doubts - but we cannot be sure it would keep its position in top20. Second, it is not a short walk from being ranked in top20 in the world to really a "global brand". So, I wouldn't say HKUST MBA is a global brand at the moment. But if it keeps its place in top20 for the next five years, I will willingly admit that it became a global brand...
