Hi Guys,
I am Rakshith from India and have 4+ years of work experience in SAP Security domain.
I am interested in the 15month program of Univ Of New Brunswick - St john's campus.. International Business MBA.
Kindly answer my below queries :-
1.) What are the job prospects after the MBA in Brunswick univ..
2.) Do they offer on-campus placement opportunities or should we search for a job ourselves..
3.) I have a plan of staying in Canada and probably get a Permanent resident.
So,with 1 yr MBA and 1 work permit.. is it risky as in how difficult / easy it is to extend the work Visa after 1 year of work permit is over..
can u give me more clarity on the same.
4.) I would like to have a comparison with Brock Univ vs Brunswick with regards to the below points :-
-->ROI
-->PR permit
--->Job prospects
---> place of living etc :-
anything which could help me evaluate the universities would be great
I am looking forward for a detailed explanation.
Regards,
Rakshith

I think you need to speak with them, or with an Indian alum of the programme. Placement doesn't happen outside India the way that it happens inside India, and no Western school has the placement success of the top Indian schools.
Looking at http://www.financialpost.com/executive/canadian-mba-programs/index.html?sort=experience It seems that wages are heavily influenced by location. New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador are the provinces with the lowest average incomes (http://www.statcan.gc.ca/tables-tableaux/sum-som/l01/cst01/famil108d-eng.htm). I guess that wages and costs will be higher for people graduating from Ontario schools like Brock Uni.

Thanks for the reply ... i will surely get in touch with 1 of the persons.. btw, I have also applied for Brock Univ in Canada
for a full time 2 year MBA(ISP).. i have got many mixed reviews from different sources.. can you please provide me some valuable details about the Brock Univ Canada.
FYI,,
course fees - Approx 45000$
18months course n 6months co-op work term(paid)
I wanna know is it worth investing such a hefty amount on Brock Univ ... and also again i have seen in forums they have poor placement record
pretty confused with the selection of Universities.. hoping for a valuable feedback from you(Duncan) as I see you are pretty famous over various posts.. :-)

I think you can only say if Brock is worthwhile when you know what your alternatives are. $45000 CND isn't a hefty amount for a Canadian MBA, but it's worth focussing on your career goals and seeing what schools have been attended by MBA alumni in your target field. Try using LinkedIn http://www.find-mba.com/board/33571
