Hello,

Can someone guide me how to select right business school for my needs.



About myself, I have over 16 years of working experience and holding managerial position for about 10 years now. In last 10 years I worked with 3 different companies thought shift was more horizontal (with more financial benefits) them upwards in position. Currently working as Sales Account manager in Dubai managing GCC regions in US based company. My work is more independent in nature and never managed a team.



What I am looking in right course/school which helps to improve the my skills and take my career to next level.



What I need to know though is, how much it matters whether it's online MBA, Executive MBA or Part time MBA and Global MBA? What are the main differences. For sure I can't do full time MBA as I have work and travel obligations.



How to find out faculty background and what all will be covered in mentioned subject.

thanks for reply. 

I understand your point, the specific goal for me for doing MBA is not to grow within same company to find better job but I am working on idea to set up my own consultancy firm for which I have expertise in my field. Though what I miss is bigger picture on how to make right strategy, understanding finance (not just top level bottom level but incites) and managing and leading team for growth...those area.

I have been looking for last couple days on different MBA's available in Dubai. LBS seems good but on expensive side. I kind of like Global MBA from Manchester and Executive MBA from Bradford. Though more research needs to be done.

What will be your suggestion on above or any other schools where I should look.


For me what matters more is content then reputation or ranking of course.

The mentioned short courses will definitely be good beginning & from the 7 in offer, I guess I will definitely do 4 - 5. This will also give me more clear direction on doing full MBA.

Going back to my earlier question, does online MBA and Executive MBA have similar content. What will be your advice on that

Part-time MBA degrees from the same school will tend to have similar content, whether they are online or EMBA.
