Warwick/Cass/LSE/Grenoble?

I am an engineering final year student and I always wanted to work in a Management Consultancy. I decided to pursue a MSc in Management to change my career path from Engineering. Since I applied really late(April'2012) most schools in Europe were almost done with their this years enrollment.
However I have offers from the following schools:
Warwick, Cass, Grenoble,Edinburgh and Strathclyde. I am on the reserve list for LSE(as their class was full but my application was strong so they have put me on a reserve list)
I am waiting to hear from Imperial, LBS and Rotterdam.

While the FT Times ranks Grenoble really high, I am not sure if its a good course. Cass is ranked as the third best in UK but I have always seen people saying Warwick is a more reputed business school. I have to pay my deposit at Cass by June 1 and I am really confused.

Please help me with the pro's and con's of each school. Specially considering that I need a school that will help me network in the management consultancy field!

Well since I am only on the reserve list for LSE, I won't know the final status about LSE till august.

So I guess it's either Cass or Warwick for me. Which one would you rate better? I talked with the careers team at both schools, and both of them attract almost the same firms.

So the question is which of them has a better reputation?

In the latest FT 2012 Rankings for MBA, Warwick is in the top 30 schools in the world while cass is at 37. I guess warwick will perform good in this year's MiM rankings too.

What do you think?

sorry i missed warwick

LSE/CASS first
than Warwick for me..

i would prefer studying in london(LSE/Cass) than country side( warwick). More opportunities to Network/attend Events in London and ofcourse Interviews :)

having followed ft ranking for few years now, i dont think ranking is genuine, for me important would be university brand , and business schools accredation and know teaching staff.

Yes, this is a good advice. management consultancy is strongly concentrated in London.

I guess it's too late for ESCP and Imperial?

Thank You both of you. This was of great help.

Well I have applied at Imperial but I was too late for ESCP.

I am also waiting to hear from EDHEC. Even though its a french school, they have double degree and exchange programme tie-ups with some of the Best Indian Business Schools, so that would help a lot on my CV if I look for a job in India.

How is EDHEC's International reputation otherwise?

EDHEC's a very French school. Its ranking positions reflect its quality quite fairly.

According to me I would prefer CASS over Warwick for sure because of its location and its popularity in India especially if you are considering to work in India.

how credible do you think are the FT Rankings?

While the FT Rankings give the number 1 rank for Careers to Cass, what shocks me is that some of the best schools like St.Gallen, CEMS,Essec do not even feature in the Top 30 Schools when it comes to Careers. Yet they top the overall rankings?

I think that is very credible. The Career rating shows relative career progress after three years. That is certainly slower in the German-speaking countries (and, generally, in the Protestant north of Europe). Top MSc graduates start in more senior roles and progress more slowly, often with horizontal assignments.
