Would suggest to do an MBA General Management r Marketing need not to do MBA IT as u already have the work exp in IT Field
Interviewer looks at the knowledge and level of work exp
Its not that tough to get the JOB if u have a good work exp background
Nothing as such if u do close by to London u get jobs it all depends how good ur .
if u have any more Q's u can mail me [email protected]

Hi Suresh,
Thanks fo your reply
I bit confused about choosing the right college.
I am currently working in Accenture with 3 years and 3 months exp in Java.
One of my friend who has just done his MBA from UK told me that I can go for IT MBA as people do MBA based on their work ex
and in getting job based on previous work ex helps allot.
My basic concern is how people get job there after MBA ?.
Since I have exp only in IT then I can utilize those skills in IT.
Also he informed me that scope of IB is good but jobs are very few.
Choosing college close to London increases one changes to search the jobs while studying and London is the place for bussiness center so it is an added advantage

London does have a lot of opportunities. However, some special programmes attract recruiters more. For example, the 'One Planet MBA' programme in University of Exeter gives a new idea about sustainable economy. This will be a shining point if you put on your CV after you graduate from University of Exeter.

Hi,
Couldn't help noticing a conversation on the "One Planet MBA" at the University of Exeter.
This is truly a very unique MBA program and is surely going to grab attention after its first batch starts in October 2011.
?One Planet? means a very specific kind of education. It refers to the fact that business planning of the future must recognise that we only have one planet?s worth of resources, yet we are currently collectively using over one and a third planets, a figure which increases daily.
Good luck to you

Sounds interesting

Yeah, I dunno. Aren't a lot of MBA programs doing that these days? Integrating sustainability topics into their curricula, I mean. Even offering concentrations.

Even Kent MBA has started some Global MBA program, which is quite interesting.

Hi,
I have around 7 years experience and have not done my GMAT. I have got reverts from Sheffield / Southampton /Kent. The telephonic interview with Program director made me think towards Kent since their teaching faculty sounds good. But there is no ranking.
Sheffield and Southampton are pretty much what I need to do. But I need advise if the said colleges are good enough to get a job later in the UK.

There are much better business schools compared to the one you are trying for. You may land in getting a job (may be good one) but not the educational experience.
