I want to do some postgraduate course in UK(preferably MBA) this year..post April/May.
I have heard about "Paid Internship" offer programs upto 1 year from some UK Univerities.
Are these for real or just to lure the drifting away students due to new Visa rules.??
If its a good option, then which are the best Universities giving this type of Paid Internship Programs????

hi Duncan,
after some research on the Internet I found that:
"West London College" is giving a 9 months salaried work placement for some of its MBA courses.
&
"University of Greenwich" is giving 1 year internship for MBA (International Business )
&
"London College of Accountancy & Management (LCAM)"
have come up upto 6 months of paid internship for some Masters program.
&
"Staffordshire University" as well as "University of Bedfordshire" are also offering these Internships for some of their programs.
And all this for the September 2012 intake..!!!!

Hi Can you share your profile in terms of your grades, work ex etc so that i can help you in selecting the universities. In terms of Paid internship i believe this is only to lure students and considering the new UKBA rules any university can not offer more than 1/3 term of work placement. So i believe these universities will change their course structure for sept 2012 intake.
Please see the rule below which will be applicable from April 6
As announced in March 2011, from 6 April 2012 we will change the rules on work placements for international students who are not studying at degree level or above at an HEI. From that date, at least two thirds of a course must comprise formal study, with a maximum of one third of course time spent on a work placement. The minimum study time will remain 15 hours per week. The work placement could therefore be 5 hours with 10 classroom hours, or it can be 1 year with 2 years of classroom study.
