Dear all,
I am looking for an MBA via distance learning and stumbled over the MBA from the University of London External system with Royal Holloway as lead college.
The opinions you find on the net about the London External system are not very positive (no help at all, you just get the (sometimes outdated) lecture list and afterwards you are on your own, exams just once a year), although it seems to me these opinions are mostly about LSE, as the structure of the distance learning is determined by the lead college.
So I would like to know if anyone did the MBA via London External Royal Holloway and can give me some more details how exactly the distance learning with this college works?
Many thanks in advance!

Hi,
I was looking to find reviews about Royal Holloway MBA - International Management course (Distance Learning) and happened to see your post.
I was planning to go for this course, but confused and have the same situation as you have suggested in 2010. Did you manage to join the course? Any comments / advices on how is the course, recognition , support to DL students etc...

Hi mbaseeker13,
I did not look further into this programme, I decided to go for a specialist masters with the University of Liverpool in the end. If you consider pursuing any programme there too, please let me know if you need any first-hand impression/information.

The Royal Holloway programme is one of those reviewed by The Economist. Take a look at: http://www.find-mba.com/board/21495
Their MBA is accredited by AMBA, which is the most respected quality mark for MBAs in Europe. The idea that students are on their own is self-evidently mistaken if you read the website about the MBA. There are on-campus workshops and extensive support. There are certainly better DL MBAs, but the University of London MBA is a really unimpeachable qualification.
