Hi,
i have found the list of universities(listed below) where i can join for aug 2009.can somebody tell me which is the best among these in terms of employment and mba value.most of the other universities are asking 3 years exp which i dont have.
University of northampton
University of hertfordshire
University of bedfordshire
University of wolverhampton
University of liverpool
LJMU

I am very confused as i am not sure whether it will be worth spending lot of money and doing MBA from these universities

Hi,

First things first, the Financial Times annual rankings list of the top 100 business schools is a pretty good place to start:

http://www.ft.com/businesseducation/schools2007

Then I would go to each website of the schools you have listed and look seriously at each programme.

Its also really worth thinking about the fact that you are limiting yourself to schools that ask for the minimum work experience, which is often not the highest ranking ones.

Of the universities you've listed, the obvious standouts are Southampton, Liverpool, and LJMU. Liverpool and Southampton are the only two 'proper' universities you mention; the others are all former polytechnics, and therefore not nearly as well recognised. LJMU is an exception to the rule, but unless they run a particularly good MBA, one which is recognised as such by prospective employers, it probably doesn't matter that much. Of course it may be that either one offers just the right course/cost balance for you, so don't let me put you off.

Also, have a look the following link. Going by the list of names you've given, if you haven't already then I'd take a look at places like Lancaster, Leeds, Aston, Birmingham, Strathclyde, Bath, Glasgow, Sheffield, and Bradford.
