Hello all,
My work have put me forward for a level 7 senior leadership apprenticeship. The closest universities to me are NTU and Loughborough. I am a senior manager in the NHS. Do you have any advice which courses are worth doing? I am planning on topping up with the Executive MBA.Hoping to get on the best course possible. Would value your input.

Do you want to know the best SLA or the better of those two? What are your professional goals?

Thanks for getting back to me. Ideally I would like to know the best SLA. Both of the above mentioned courses are in close proximity to myself which I do feel would be of benefit. Having to commute 1 hour + one way to a course is something I am trying to avoid, but if there is a significantly better course further away, then I may consider it.
As for career aspirations, I am looking to develop myself so that I am ready to move to a board level position within the next 5 years. I would also like the option of moving to private sector if I feel they this would be more beneficial.
Thanks!

Henley and Cranfield are the best-ranked SLA providers in the FT executive education rankings. Cranfield is the closer of those.

Following a very lengthy discussion with my employer, it would now appear they will no longer put me forward to do the SLA, however will consider it for next year....
I am back to the drawing board now and I plan to pursue an EMBA myself.
I want to get the best bang for my buck, something that will help me get to c suite level and/or transition into finance if appropriate.
What recommendations for UK based EMBAS would you have? I am going to apply for warwick, Henley and Cranfield. I am considering some London based EMBA's but I need something modular and flexible.
Thanks

If you can afford the £99 to set up your own firm, why not do so and sponsor yourself for an SLA, and then get your employer to let you go to .95 or .9 of full time for the attendance time?
Then, honestly, start looking for a better employer.

Is this legal? Will look into it if so

The schools have quotas to hit.
I have spoken to many schools who have all informed me that I cannot sponsor myself through my own company…

If you read the rules, and tell a few white lies, then you can. If you approach to ask if this is allowed they will respond cautiously.

The rules were changed last month to prevent this occurring
