Hello All,
I have total 5.1 yrs of experience in IT and I am planning to take gmat. But before preparing for gmat, I am wondering If I get score in GMAT...Do I have a chance in getting admission in good colleges for 1yr MBA like IIMs ,ISB ,Insead. .My profile is :
1. 10th - 68
2. 12th - 82
3. Btech ->Private Engineering college->Dronacharya college ,Gurgaon,India ->83.51
4. Mtech ->Private University ->Mody Institute of technology and science,lakshmangarh,Rajasthan,India->8.4 cgpa
I have total of 5.1 yrs of exp. I am working with Sapient global markets. Prior to that,I worked with IBM for arnd 4.5 yrs. No International Experience.
Not so good extra curricular activities.Though took part in some events in college and office.
Can anyone please tell me how is my profile and is it worth to prepare for GMAT as I want to do MBA from good colleges only.I have heard one should have good profile and mine is not that good.If there are any chances then how much GMAT score I should have and what are the strategies I should follow.
Thanks

All of the schools you mention recruit candidates with around 700 GMAT scores, on average - so aim for that score or preferably higher. In terms of how good you are as a candidate, you are quite similar to many other applicants, so you'll have to find some way to set yourself apart from the pack. Some extracurriculars or volunteer experience would help but it's a bit late to start those since it might be considered disingenuous. Try your best on the GMAT and in your essays, try to present yourself as a compelling applicant, however you can.
