I've been applying to European and Australian MBA programmes and unfortunately, I haven't been accepted to my top 2 choices out of 5. The 3 other programmes who did accept me all offered sizable scholarship amounts without having to apply for these scholarships. I really do feel uncomfortable accepting a scholarship at these schools because I assume they will be asking me to participate in promotional activities for the school such as to get involved on BusinessBecause and other such social medias (which I despise for its narcissistic nature) and probably on their blogs or brochures. I would of course prefer to pay less for the course, but I am definitely not interested in feeling uncomfortable during the MBA. How can I address the issue with the school? Will I be forced to comply with their requests if I accept the money?
Is there a way in 2014 to do a MBA without having to share my experience with the world and actually focus on the learning side of it and not for the benefit of the school?

Don't assume that they will have any expectations of you beyond those of other students. You are not obliged to do anything you have not agreed to.
