Hello,

I am engineer in the IT industry and have a decade of full time work experience. Over the past few months I have been debating(basically with myself) whether to pursue a MBA degree or not. I came to the conclusion that its better to do it than not. I am not in a position to leave my job to do a full time course and since I am considering moving to another country maybe in the next 1.5 years committing to an executive MBA degree also seems unrealistic. I am living and working in Barcelona now but thinking of moving to the UK or go back to my home country in the future.

Naturally I am considering doing an Online MBA. But after checking around and talking to people(many who've done a full time mba) there's just not a lot of information out there on the return of investment for an Online MBA degree. Even colleges don't exactly put out such statistics. Many online MBA 's have some really eyewatering fees and makes me wonder if its worth the cost.

How is it valued and viewed by potential employers?

Is it worth spending, for example 70-80k eur, when I know that I would have a to take a student loan to pay 80-90% of the fees?

Looking forward to hear from all of you.

This depends on how much you earn and how much you want to earn. If you will work for 30 more years, and an MBA will increase your income by more than €100 a week, then it's one of the most explosively positive investments you will ever make. Warwick Online MBAs earn around $200k a year. If you are earning $195k or less a year, it's a very positive invtesment.

Thank you for your response Duncan. I agree with what you've said. This would mean that an Online MBA from a recognized and highly ranked institution would give us the returns we expect but not others, which was always the case I guess.
Somehow I come across people who always point in the direction of, an Online MBA will never be equal to a Full time MBA.
I don't agree though, simply because the pandemic has forced everything(full time, part time) to be online since the past 18 months or so. But it does kind of forces you to think before making that sort of a commitment time, effort and money wise.

Well, other things being equal a full time MBA does have more value than an online MBA. Almost everyone doubles their salary after 12 or 24 months, which is not the case with online degrees.

MBA Degree will offer you a best advantages, especially in wealth when it's from CCE UPES a well-reputed business management school. Getting a high MBA salary after graduation, landing a management position, developing a strong career with professional network, or even becoming your own boss are just a few of the advantages of studying an MBA Degree Program.
