Masters in Finance

Hi,

I am a finance professional with four years of work experience. I am looking for a masters in finance or a specialization in Finance from London. I am looking for a one year course, whether MS in Finance or a course like Risk Management. What is the best options to go for in terms of a job advantage and which would be the best university / college to go for?

Thanks

The London Business School MiF is the only MiF aimed at people with work experience. If you have the CFA 1 charter, I'd also look at the Lancaster advanced masters, which is taught in London.

Oh! I should have mentioned Cambridge, since that is only an hour from London. http://rankings.ft.com/businessschoolrankings/masters-in-finance-post-experience-2014 The LSE has full- and part-time MiF options, so that's an option if you can't get in to LBS or Cambridge. Oxford, Imperial and the Cass school at City Uni are also strong for finance, but more for pre-experience students: http://rankings.ft.com/businessschoolrankings/masters-in-finance-pre-experience-2014

Duncan, Thanks for the quick response! Would you recommend any specialist courses, like the one I mentioned above - MSc in Risk Management or similar course? Or is it rather preferable to go for a more generic course like MiF?

thanks!!

I think that demands on your goals. Most students will certainly get a better role via LBS or Cambridge. These courses allow you to customise your degree.
