MBA in Russia but how?

SingleSpai...

Hi everyone,
I am new at this site and I just wonder something.

I am from Istanbul,Turkey and I've graduated from Mechanical Engineering.
I want to have an MBA degree, and I decided to get this degree in Russia. But I don't know anything about universities and my budget is very limited.I've searched some of the universities (teaching in English of course) and found out that they are very very expensive for me.
What should I do? Money is everything?
And a question...I have 1 years working experience,is it a problem?

Thanks for your all replies...

Hello Tahir,

I would recomend you 1 or 2 more years of experience and then you will save some money. Also, you will feel more mature abot your decision and your candidature will be more regarded by business schools.
As for countries, there are BS around the globe, but I would focus on the top 50 for instance, international schools where you will learn quality and your curriculum wil be improved by good education.

In the Find-MBA list of Russian business schools most of the leading players are missing.
What I regard as leaders in Russia:

1. Graduate School of Management at St-Peterbusg State University. They have AACSB accreditation, offer totally English-spoken programs (MSc and Executive MBA) and have cooperations with such schools as Fukua (Duke University) and HEC (France).

2. Graduate School of Business Administration at Moscow State University. They are members of AACSB and EFMD associations, though without accreditation, and are ranked №1 in national rankings. But they have only some English-spoken courses at Bachelor and MSc programs so you can regard them for exchange semesters.

3. Business school at the High School of Economics (Moscow). Programs only in Russian, but of a solid quality.

4. MIRBIS. Accredited by AMBA and have an English-spoken MBA. But their reputation in Russia is not very good.

All other schools listed at Find-MBA are not really known by Russian companies, so if you want to work in Russia after your study it doesn't make sense to invest money and time to these schools.
