Hello to everybody,
I have just been contacted by the admission office of ESADE for a telephone interview. Do you have any suggestion about what to be prepared to answer?
any advice from people who actually did an interview is really appreciated.
Thanks a lot

Congratulations!
I can't say that I have had an interview there, but there was a thread here a while back about it... here:

Some people had gone through the process and gave some good advice and tips.

The director of admissions at ESADE interviewed me last year when he was at the Goethe Business School in Frankfurt. The process was a lot like a job interview. He walked down my previous job (and education) experience from my resume/CV and asked questions about my background. Like a job interview, the face-to-face interview at a business school is more about confirming the initial impression from the phone interview or resume.
Simply be confident! Know that you have already put your foot in the door, and be ready to discuss yourself...where you have been and where you want to go.
Above all else, be yourself. Interviews (for work or school) are all about marketing yourself. Don't try to be what you preceive someone else wants you to be. What an interviewer is interested in learning is who you are and how you will fit into their organization (or educational program).

I found an article about preparing for interviews at McKenzie. While this is a consulting company interview and not an MBA candidate interview, a lot of the tips relate well.

Question for those who already did an interview - I did a phone interview last Monday (June 7th) and lasted over 1 hour. I think I did pretty well but I have not received the final decision yet so I'm a bit concern I won't get accepted. Does anyone know how long does it take for the adcom to send final decision after the interview?
At the end of the interview the adcom person was giving me an insight into the school, life in Barcelona, and he said he would send additional brochures etc...I almost got an impression that I got in but obviously this decision does not depend on the interviewer.

I think the interviewer has more input into the admission process than you give him credit for. Most of the requirements are screening criteria to weed out potential candidates before the interview. Once you get to the interview, it becomes a central part of the selection process. This is as true for school admissions as it is for jobs.

I got an answer 4 or five days later but I guess it is because I applied for the MSc. I heard about other guys applying for MBA that had to wait for more than one week so don't worry or freak out, I am sure you did well ;)
