curriculum redesign and new MBA director- HSG st. Gallen

Dear find MBA community,

I was talking yesterday to an alumni of the HSG st gallen MBA programe (2016 cohort) and he told me that the curriculum has been completely revised as a result of the changing of MBA director. I wanted to ask the community and experts of this forum your point of view on the newly introduced changes, as well as your opinion on the current status of the program compared to its competition in the post-covid era. There does not seem to be much info regarding these new "upgrades".

Best regards

Goodness me. I don't think I've ever seen an MBA website that doesn't actually mention the curriculum at all: https://www.mba.unisg.ch/fulltime-mba-format

The new MBA director previously ran the full-time MBA at Trinity College Dublin, which is unranked by the FT and Economist. HSG is a big step up and she must have had a very strong offer to win that role, especially since her skills in the German language might be limited.

Without a major shift in an endowment or local employer appetite, I don't think either a shift in the curriculum or a new director from outside the top-tier MBA world will create many major shifts for the HSG MBA.
