Hello Everyone!
I am completing my Bachelor at Bocconi University in International Economics and Management, and would like to work in Consulting after my Master's degree.
I was recently accepted at IE Business School for MSc in Management and Rotterdam (RSM) for MSc in Strategic Management. The programs are slightly different and the two schools appear to be ranked very closely by ft.com and qsrankings; does anyone have any suggestions on which degree could help me start a career in consulting at MBB in Europe? Does either of these business schools have a better reputation?
Thank you in advance :)

Where do you want to work? Is your Spanish better than your Dutch?

Thank you for your reply,
I speak Spanish, Italian and English.
I don't speak dutch, so after my master's I would look for jobs either in Italy, Spain or UK (unless i find an english speaking job somewhere else)

Since consultants need to speak to their clients in the clients' language, I don't think RSM makes sense.

Yes, but the prices are not the same. Plus, even if you did RSM you don't need to stay in the Netherlands. Same applies to IE and Spain, e.g. if you want to go back to Italy :)
Are you fluent in Spanish (in a business setting)?

I have a B2 in Spanish, so not full proficiency.

Then, I would pick RSM (you can travel quite a bit with the 40k savings, if you have the Italian passport). But, then check the programs and pick what you like best (and especially where you would like to study and live in afterwards) :)

I don't think MBB firms go to IE or RSM to hire people for Italy and the UK. Study where you want to work. If you want to work in Italy, go to Bocconi or Milan polytechnic. For the UK, it's Imperial, LBS or the LSE. The MSc pathway is more viable in Italy than in the UK.
Also MBB are tiny firms - they recruit very small numbers. Have a back-up plan and take the path with the highest probability of success.

Duncan he already has a bachelor from Bocconi. It is nice also to add an international flavour to his CV :)
Like Duncan said pick the one you are most comfortable with and that we cannot decide for you! Good luck ;)

Yes I know but if he wants to work in Italy MBB, then they don't care about his cute international experience - they want to know he can hit the ground running.
