Maybe tell them you got a full ride from Nyenrode and you're considering the school because of the offer?

They may tell you to take Nyenrode ;-)

Of course RSM is a much more selective school than Nyenrode. If I was an admissions manager at RSM and a student was cheeky enough to tell me that they would go to a worse school unless I got a scholarship for them, then I would be tempted to call their bluff. RSM alumni earn around a third more than Nyenrode alumni, so if the student can't see that no scholarship at RSN is better value than free at Nyenrode, perhaps they don't belong at RSM?

Thanks Dunkan for your input.

No, it's not the case. Because the RSM MBA leads to much better outcomes for students, it is much better than the Nyenrode MBA. Certainly Nyenrode has a elite reputation, especially at the undergraduate level. The schools are very different in culture.

Thanks Dunkan.

Primarily the same microeconomic reasons why most top 100 schools are falling: schools focussed on Latin America and Asia are rising above them. Ten years ago RSM was stable at #27 worldwide; now it's stable at #33. That's a very slight downward move, primarily reflecting the growth of schools oriented more on the developing world: CEIBS; CUHK; ESADE; HKUST; IE; IIMA; Nanyang are all new to the top 35 over the last decade. RSM would have to move to Asia to counter that.
