Our master's programs allow you to tailor your studies to your specific career aspirations. Questrom has a distinctly personalized approach that offers students more paths to a degree than almost any other school. We have evolved our curricula to integrate the three most vital and rapidly growing sectors of the world economy: health & life sciences, digital technology, and social enterprise & sustainability. We’ve infused more discussions of ethics and social responsibility throughout and added more internationally based cases and options for international experiences. Students will acquire the global and ethical frameworks they'll need in a world facing massive economic, commercial, and social challenges. If students choose the Two-Year MS-MBA Program (MBA and MS in Information Systems) or a specialty in Social Impact MBA or Health Sector Management, they'll be able to further personalize their courses of study to match their goals.

The Professional Evening MBA (PEMBA) at BU is the part-time route to accelerating students' full-time career advancement and making their personal plans a reality. PEMBA students build the same foundation in the traditional management disciplines as, and take electives with, full-time students, but complete their MBAs on their own terms and around their own commitments.

Other options for graduate study include MS in Management Studies (MSMS), a unique one-year program that builds a bridge to business for recent graduates with a background in areas like science, math, technology, engineering, digital communications, economics, and more. An additional year of study, the MSMS adds management expertise to your skillset so that you can go farther faster in your career. 

Our 17-month MS in Mathematical Science program (MSMF) offers a careful integration of practical domains of mathematics with an in-depth study of the theory and practice of modern finance.

Founded in 1839, Boston University is an internationally recognized institution of higher education and research. Boston University Questrom School of Business marked its 100th anniversary in September 2013. Our proud history includes being one of the very first to admit women, and establishing an MBA in 1925. The School was an early founder of research institutes and one of the nation’s very first to institute specific curricula addressing nonprofit and health care management. We created the Center for Team Learning and the first MS•MBA, a high tech dual-degree that merges technology with today’s business needs. We taught entrepreneurial studies before it had a formal name. We pioneered the move from the operations- and financially-based management models of the past into the network-centric curriculum of contemporary times.

We see our centennial as a reason not to look back, but to look forward and continue to break ground. In a world that is increasingly smaller, we are continually evolving our curricula to address the emerging needs of the next few decades. Today, leaders need to be able to anticipate change, harness it, and make it work for their organizations. They need to be nimble and aware, open and proactive. They need to find ways to add value to their organizations, their communities, and the world.

On March 30, 2015, the School proudly announced its new name, thanks to a generous gift from Allen Questrom (’64) and his wife, Kelli, and the Allen & Kelli Questrom Foundation. Allen Questrom is a retailing industry icon, having successfully transformed several of the nation’s largest department and specialty stores, including JCPenney, Neiman Marcus, and Barneys New York. At $50 million, their gift is the largest in BU history, and furthers the School’s commitment to developing the next generation of innovative leaders.

Boston University School of Management offers academic merit scholarships. All applicants to the full-time programs are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships. Tuition and scholarship information varies by program. 80% of the 2014 entering full-time MBA class received scholarship assistance with the average award exceeding $25,000 per year.
