Rice University (Jones) Online MBA - How Is It?

More Online MBA discussions at FIND MBA Online

Howdy FindMBA Folks,

I am looking at pursuing an online MBA (working professional living in Texas), and Rice's Jones School of Business recently (possibly as recently as in the past year), started an online MBA program. With it being so new, I am having a hard time finding any information about it. I was, and am, looking at other programs (like U of Indiana's Kelley), but for a hybrid program, it would be very nice to attend a school that is much closer to me.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this, and any advice/info you feel like providing!

A friend of mine teaches at Rice, having moved recently from a big Californian university, and is hugely impressed.

I wouldn't be so concerned about the program's newness. Since you're living in Texas, you probably are aware of the school's stature and reputation.

Depending on your existing network, your goals, and where you want to expand your network, the other plausible option would be the Professional MBA at Jindal, which is a bit more established.

Generically speaking, Rice is probably a stronger school than UT Dallas, though.
