I am about to graduate from UOP, Chicago Campus. I am looking for a 1 yr MBA in Accounting. I have talked to the recruiters @ UOP but am not sure this is the best choice. Is UOP @ Chicago an accredited business school?

UOP is Phoenix? The best one year programmes in accounting in the US tend to be MS degrees. Look for one with AACSB accreditation.

Not many shorter MBA programs offer concentrations in general. I'd start with this list of top MBA programs in accounting:

And look for one-year programs. The one-year program at Rochester/Simon, for example, lets you choose from two relevant specializations (Accounting and Information Systems and Corporate Accounting.)

Beyond that, Clarkson University in upstate New York offers an accelerated accounting MBA. This prepares you for the New York CPA exam, if you're interested.

Depending on your goals, it could also be worth looking at something more general from a top school. Kellogg has a one-year program that has some accounting curriculum but no concentration.
