Hi , I just need anyone can help me guide my healthcare management career . I have my bachelor in med tech and want to apply online MBA program at Questrom BU school but it only provides the core MBA program ( not available for online health management sector) .

Although BU is good reputation school but with only core MBA degree they provide, it ‘s hard to get a job in healthcare management or consulting.

So, I intented to apply anothet local school provide MBA with healthcare management concentration but less reputation than Questrom BU . Also , they are both same price .

Do you think online core MBA at Questrom is not enough for healthcare management or consulting job competitive market ?

Thanks

BU is probably better than your local school, but maybe your local school is amazing. Who can tell unless you name it?

No MBA by itself is enough for any role. There are three questions an employer will ask: can this person do what I want? Have they done it before? Would we want to work with them? The BU qualification is much stronger than the WT MBA unless you are really focussed on work in Amarillo.

Don't disregard the value of a 'local' program. A school in the area would probably have a more engaged / passionate network than a larger, more nationally-oriented school. School pride is a real thing, especially in smaller communities.

I'd go as far to say that, all other things considered, an in-class program can typically provide better networking opportunities than an online MBA. Those big, expensive online programs are good for many things, but will generally have broader, more dispersed networks.
