Msc international business - Warwick or Manchester

Sw03

I got an offer from Warwick in Msc international business .
And Manchester’s for Msc international business and management (ranked 5th in the UK)

I am really confused as to which one shall I pick but my considerations are based on job opportunities, I know that in the end it depends upon us and not the uni but still it would help you transform and that’s one aspect I’m looking for.
Also with PSW, will it be easier to find jobs!?

Warwick is ranked much higher than Manchester by the FT, and also by QS. I'm not sure what role you want or in which country, but I suggest you compare the alumni locations with your goals.

Hi . Warwick business school ranks better than Manchester business school, however being an international student I would recommend Manchester over Warwick due to following reasons :

1. Manchester has a global recognition as compared to Warwick.

2. Manchester is 2nd biggest city in the U.K. with more prospects of getting post study work as compared to Coventry which is mainly known for automobile industry.
3. If you are looking to work part time while studying, again Manchester will be a better place for you .
4. Manchester as a city is more cosmopolitan and will give you more exposure than Coventry.
In short Manchester has lot more advantage over Warwick if you like to stay back and work after your studies.

1. People are not hired by global reputation. If this person want to work in the UK, they should target the schools and courses with the best record of placing into those employers. A powerful business school in a less-known university like City, Cranfield or Reading will often lead to better outcomes than a weaker school in a famous university like Edinburgh, KCL, UCL.

2. Have you looked at a map? Within an hour of Coventry you have Birmingham, London and a huge part of UK industry.

Hey, first off thanks for replying.
yes point noted, Manchester is def a bigger city, will give me more opportunities and being an international student we seek exposure. But then I even agreed with Duncan’s point that a good business would easily help me in giving that exposure too.
I’ll give it a thought but wanted an informative decision so reached out here.
thanks again!

Maybe in terms of the university's reputation? I am not sure, because I feel like Warwick, as a business school, has a better reputation, even globally, versus Alliance Manchester.

But if you are talking just about how many people know about each university, maybe you're right. Not sure how that level of 'recognition' would help with finding a job, though.
