Hi,
Looking to seek advice or links to articles / threads about the benefits of doing an MBA. Most information I've found online is aimed at international students wanting to study in the UK - however I am a UK national already working in the UK.
I've received a couple of MBA offers including for Manchester and trying to weight up the trade-off between time/cost and future benefit.
I am a UK finance / chartered accountant professional in late 20s with 6-7 years of work experience, now operating in managerial / financial controller roles - I am guess I am already on a good career path to become a CFO / Finance Director but wondering if an MBA can further if.
Benefits I'd look to get from an MBA are:
1. Open up other career paths outside of finance (not interesting in consulting however) i.e. Commercial, Strategy or Business Development for example.
2. Accelerate my finance career path / earning potential if I choose to stay in this field.
3. Improve Network.
Any advice is welcome? Apologies if missed out any crucial detail - so just ask.
Thank you in advance.

1. Longer format MBAs like Manchester and LBS are better for exploring other paths.
2. Accelerating your finance career will be helped by strong finance programs. The LBS MIF and Cambridge MiF are worth looking at. Also consider the Cass, LBS and Cranfield MBAs.
3. If you are looking at UK networks then it's really Cass, Cranfield, Manchester, Warwick and LBS. The other schools' MBAs have modest UK networks.
