LBS

I'm getting my LBS application ready and I had a quick question.

There's one essay on MBA career goals which is no problem. But the second one asks for any other information that the Admissions Committee should know.

It's an optional essay but is there any risk in just not doing it? The rest of my application should have everything they need.

Think about what they are looking for. Which of these things is least well evidenced by your application? That is what you should write about.

I'd suggest putting some good thought into this and not just discounting it. As far as you see it, are there any weak parts of your application (lower GMAT score, lower GPA, gaps in your work experience?)

Most everybody who applies to an MBA program - especially at one of the world's top business schools - will have something or multiple things that aren't 'perfect' about their application. Use this essay to address those points.

Thanks. That makes sense. I got 740 on the GMAT and I don't have any substantial work gaps (5 years, with progressive responsibilities). I did jump sectors midway, maybe I will discuss that.

You mentioned GPA, do you have any idea what would be considered a 'lower' GPA?
