sona88

Hello

Greetings!!

I wish to join a FullTime MBA program either in ASIA or USA. I need your guidance for shortlisting 3-5 Match and 2 Stretch B-schools .

For your convenience, a quick brief about me:
Academic Profile: I am an Electrical Engineering Analyst with more than 4.5 years of experience in Oil&Gas and Software Product Industries.
I was a State-Best 7th in High-School. I acquired my Bachelors(GPA-3.3) deg. from NIT Raipur, which is considered to be a premier( Tier-2) Engineering College in India But my GMAT score is low, 650( Q48, VA32).
Extra-Curricular: I have always been very active in organizing creative and niche events at college as well as now in office. Apart from that, I am a dancer( not professional, but by hobby) and have represented my school at state level. I also engage in teaching under-privileged students in my locality over the weekend.

Short-Term Goals: I wish to join Operations in Energy Industry post MBA.

Long-Term Goals: I want to be an entrepreneur in the Energy/E-commerce Industry after 10 years.( Time will educate me)

Some great choices on this top 10 MBA energy programs (at least for US schools):

http://find-mba.com/lists/top-business-school-by-speciality/top-business-schools-for-energy-and-natural-resources

Texas schools like McCombs and Rice may be stretch schools for you based on your GMAT, but Oklahoma - Price may be in your reach. Mays, too, maybe.

I'm not aware of any b-schools in Asia that are strong for energy. For schools in Asia, it would probably be best to narrow down your choices based on location and find a good, general MBA program in that location.
