Hi everyone,
I have a 650 on the GMAT, 6 years in the oil and industry operations. Asian (not Indian).
Post MBA plan is to move into Operations Consulting (not MBB) or Operations Management roles (Amazon etc)
I have admits from both UBC and AGSM for the full-time program. Both schools are good and appealing and generally well known. I am torn between which school to finalize.
Pros for AGSM:
Stronger in consulting (30% placement in consulting)
Sydney
Good ROI
FT ranked program
Higher salary
Cons for AGSM:
Poor traction outside Australia
A slightly limited alumni network
Pros for UBC:
Vancouver the beautiful !
Larger alumni
Good placement in operations. I have seen graduates go into Amazon, Bell etc.
Good ROI
Cons:
Poor traction outside Canada / Average ranking
Lesser salary
Both Australia & Canada have the option of PR which was the primary factor for me to consider these both.
Need your advice people on which schools I should finalize, really confused

Of course AGSM has fewer alumni than UBC: one is a graduate school, and the other is a university. Compare like with like. Sauder's Lee Graduate School also has fewer alumni than UNSW. Which of them has the strongest network in the place where you need the network?
