Low GMAT + High GPA

I tanked the GMAT!

I scored a 590.

However, my undergraduate GPA and academic performance was very good. I was in the top 10 percent of my class, at one of the most prestigious universities in my country.

Is my undergraduate performance enough to help me get past my 590? I would not mind taking the GMAT again but I it's more time commitment + cost so if I don't have to I won't do it.

That depends on the schools you want to get into and if you are far ahead on other criteria.

How much work experience do you have and what kind is it? The schools you apply to will obviously want to know how you excelled in your undergrad but got such a low score on the GMAT. There's a bit of a disconnect there.

Look at the average GMAT scores of the schools you want to get into and compare yours. Of course you will be a hard sell at a school like UNC or Tuck, or even schools like Boston University. Lower-tier schools like Buffalo might be an option.
