Hi All,
I'm already accepted in the IE Business School IMBA program.
Being a Telecom Engineer with 7 years of working experience and 4 years of pre-sales experience. I would like to know if the program is suitable for someone with Engineering background and also what about the difficulty of study for someone coming from the Engineering field?
Also what about the job opportunities for my profile after graduation?
Thanks for your help.

What are your alternatives? What are your goals? Obviously since you have been admitted your are a suitable candidate for the programme and will find it suitably challenging. Opportunities depend on your goals and your knowledge of Spanish.

My short term or intermediate term goal lets say is to join business consultancy after graduation specially the business consultancy related to Telecommunication sector to enhance my business experience. On the long term which is 5 years after graduation is to start my own small business. But this is related for sure to the salary increase after graduation to have a suitable capital to start this business.

In Spain?

I believe u r asking about the own business. No it will not be in Spain it will be in my home country. Actually, I selected IE as it is one of the top schools such that after graduation joining one of the top business consultants could be a little bit easy. However, my concern is the business courses study for an Engineer :)

IE is a Spanish school, with notable numbers of alumni in the UK and US. How strong is the IE network in your country? Take a look at http://www.find-mba.com/board/33571

Thanks JK for your reply .For the business consultancy I'm planning to join a Top business consultant outside my home country Egypt. Probably in Europe ( if there is no problems in the work permit) or in Gulf ( Dubai specifically)
For the concern as Engineer, according to my undergraduate study I did not get too much in contact with finance and accounting courses. Ok, I had some experience due to my work but still it is not that strong as the academic experience. So will this be a weak point for me or this is already taken into consideration in the program structure?

Take a look at http://www.find-mba.com/board/35433 for a couple of options about finance and accounting. Of course most students at IE won't have studied these either, so don't worry.
But do think more carefully about whether IE can meet your career goals. Europe is a profoundly national market, and you should study where you want to work.

You mean that if graduated from IE, it will be difficult to find an opportunity outside Spain?

You are a good boy!

It's much easier to study where you want to work. IE will publish a placement report, of course.
