Options for an online/distant learning MBA in the UK?

Dear All,

I started to look into an online MBA delivered by a UK University/Business school. I would be looking into an MBA tuition fee of around 10.000 - 13.000 pounds possibly paying by module so that I can manage my finances better since I'd be totally funding by myself this MBA. I have a few questions for anyone who could help me:

* Accreditation: is it really important that I look for a triple accredited MBA?
* Dissertation/Non-dissertation MBA: does that really make a differece when it comes to picking an MBA?
* Ranking: I checked the FT ranking just to have a idea but those mentioned there are way above my budget range...does the name of the University really need to be considered carefully when picking an MBA?

I looked at different options but they ae very costly (Liverpool, Birmingham...) but honestly I am a bit lost so if anyone could shed some light for me I'd be greatly appreciative :)?

Thanks in advance!
cheers

Yes all of those things matter, there are plenty of funding options from personal loans to post-grad student loan. Look at the salaries of the higher ranked ones compared to the ones you have mentioned, the additional increase should more than cover the additional 10k or so.

With this budget you can't take a good MBA. So take a MSc or diploma from a good school rather than an MBA from a terrible school.

Relatively speaking, Liverpool and Birmingham's Online programs are bargains compared to some of the other options out there.

The Bradford program is 17k GBP, and it's ranked well. That's a great value for a ranked Online MBA. That's still a stretch for your budget, but if you can make it work that would be a good option.

Otherwise, the Illinois program is a bit less overall, but not ranked. It also might not have the same alumni footprint in the UK as Bradford has. I believe you can pay per module for this program, but make sure you check this.

Just FYI loans are going to be harder to come by for Online programs vs. for full-time MBAs.
