I’m considering these two programs. Even though the Queen Mary University of London MBA is not ranked, I have the feeling that it has a superior brand name recognition than Durham especially in North of America. Since I’m working now in Canada and this is where my MBA would have the most impact in the short term, I thought it would be wiser to go with a UoL degree? I know Durham is much better as a program, but having a University of London on your resume could yield better results for career opportunities?

As someone with a University of London MBA, I think Durham is better. Either way you would need context. For the USA, why not Illinois?

Thank you for your input Duncan. I have looked at many Canadian LinkedIn profiles with a Durham MBA and I have yet to come across a single one that looked interesting. Most of them work at no-name companies, some of them are working at high profile organizations like Shell, but all had specialist titles. To me it looks like the Durham MBA will have little to no impact in terms of career progression in North of America. I have the feeling that recruiters will make no difference between a Durham MBA or UoL MBA...
