EMBA Advices

nch

Hi, I'm based in Kuwait for a short time ( 2 years approximately) & I want to take a MBA. I have some questions to choose the right school:
1- What's the best a local MBA in Kuwait (night courses) or EMBA with an international school?
2- Is the EMBA worldly certified ?
3- Is there any risk to find a job with an EMBA in Europe, North Africa or Middle east ?
Thank you for your advice

Hi,
the only 2 programs I found in Kuweit are
Kuwait University http://www.cba.edu.kw/PostGraduate.htm
and Kuwait-Maastricht Business School www.kmbs.edu.kw

Not the slightest idea what the job chances are, or if they are good programs.

The MBA program at Kuwait-Maastricht Business School is accredited by the Association of MBAs, so I think it should be a relatively good program. I think the other one doesn't have any international accreditation. It may still be a good program if the university is good. Being in Kuwait, why don't you find out about the university's reputation? In terms of international job opportunities, I'd guess that KMBS would have something to offer, given its links with the Maastricht School of Management. I know that Maastricht has developed lots of joint ventures around the world. They seem to have a very strong international orientation.

Kuwait University MBA is accredited by AACSB and is much cheaper than MSM costing around 1500KD for full program. MSM is accredited by AMBA's and cost around 6500KD for full program. Other options are distance learning MBA's from Universities in Europe or America (the degree will be same for distance learning or full time program) , their cost depends on their MBA accreditation status ranging from 6000KD to 15000KD for full program. following are few universities:
Manchester Business School
Henely Businesss School
Warwick Business School
London shool of business & finance
IE (spain)
Heriot Watt University
University of East London
and many more..
Currenlt I am considering MBA in Financial Services from University of East London it is costing 2000KD for the full program to me. It is not accredited by any MBA accrediting body but in Kuwait the employers hardly have any knowledge abt these accrediting bodies, they focus more on University NAME rather than accreditaion status with only few exceptions.
