Will a online MBA from Bradford university be any good if I want to move up the ladder in my career , presently working In IT and have around 12 years of experience .Being a new mother i won’t be able to pursue a full time course . Please help

Hi Duncan ,Thanks for your response. To give you a background I am having around 12 years of experience in IT and currently working in UK in visa through an Indian company . My goals are as following :-1.To have a management degree to move into more managerial /transformation role within the same organisation or may be different .2.Would be keen to work in UK if I get suitable offer or else I will have to love back to India and continue.
So basically I am looking from a standpoint where the degree would be valued in both countries.I was also looking at MMU and Durham .Kindly suggest which will be a better choose for me ?

I think you know the answer there is Durham > Bradford > Manchester Met. Big gap between those schools, I'd say, especially in terms of their standing as universities, rather than business schools.

If you are in the UK, some distance learning MBAs have on campus options, like Warwick and Henley. I would also look at the firms you want to look at, and whether some schools are well represented. Of course also compare the programmes. 

Thanks for your recommendation.Actually Henley and Warwick are bit expensive  for me ,as I was looking for programs around 20K .Thats the reason i am but dubious that if I consider the above mentioned b school will it be well recognised ? As universities like Amity in India offers much cheaper option but am not aware of its recognition world wide . Your insight will really be helpful .Thanks 

It's complex. Being realistic, an online MBA will not help you much in finding work in the UK. To do that, you would need to be here. So, you would be better off using your time in the UK to network and apply for roles. 
For India, you will know better than me. Amity has an MBA pathway that leads to a British MBA, from the Open University. That seems like a good compromise. 
PS Maybe the LSE BSc or graduate diploma in management, via London.ac.uk, is a cheaper option that suits you? They  may sound like an MBA alternative.

Thank you again ,surely  I will have a look .Actually I already have a bachelors degree so want to have masters now  hence was looking for MBA options .So these online MBA’s are primarily meant for what purpose as per your opinion ?will these MBA at all help me in career growth ? Thanks for all guidance so far .

They are for career growth rather than international mobility.

It's worse. Stick to degrees with AACSB, Equis or AMBA accreditation.

Will there be a difference afterwards ?

This depends on your career goals. Given the international nature of your career, I would think the extra value of Durham or Illinois would be a great investment. 

Ok thanks a lot , I have actually never looked at US schools as my experience has been always in  India or UK .So do you suggest I should explore American bschools as well ? Any more to add to the list pls ?

This depends on your career goals. As a parent university, Illinois is more powerful and Durham. I'd certainly say that the Illinois MBA is better designed and more extensive educationally. I think you'd want to compare the designs of the degrees and the usefulness of their alumni networks.

It's a very new programme. Also, I think the lack of a cohort design could make it hard to identify which should be surveyed in which year.
