Change is the only constant in today’s business world. The half-life of management knowledge is constantly decreasing. At the same time, know-how, leadership, and individual performance remain the critical resources for a successful business organization now and in the future.
The WU Executive Academy is part of the WU Vienna and combines business know-how and the resources of Europe’s largest business university in its specialized executive education programs for managers. The knowledge provided is of immediate practical relevance and kept up-to-date through WU research capabilities.
Each year, as many as 3,500 executives, experts and high potentials from over 50 countries graduate from our programs. At present, field studies and certificate programs are conducted in 16 countries on three continents.

The Program
Executive MBA (part-time):The part-time Executive MBA program, jointly offered by the WU Executive Academy and the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota will start on March 24th, 2010 for the 11th consecutive year. Participants of the program receive two degrees, an American and a European degree. The program belongs to the elite circle of MBA programs to be triple accredited (AACSB, EQUIS and FIBAA), is top-listed in international rankings and taught in English.
The WU Executive MBA program focuses on general management and leadership issues. Emphasis is placed on the impact of globalization, the development of appropriate corporate strategies, the management of change processes and the acquisition of solid financial management skills.
During 14 months and only 40 working days off-the job, participants work on three continents and earn degrees from two leading business schools in America and Europe. Ten modules of four days each are taught in Vienna and are embedded in two-weeks pre- and post module distance learning phases. There are also three international field studies to Eastern Europe (St. Petersburg), Asia (Guangzhou & Bangalore) and America (New York & Minneapolis).
A particular highlight of the program is the participation in a virtual team project. Here participants develop business plans with Executive MBA students from Warsaw (Poland), Guangzhou (China) and Minneapolis (USA). All teams gather to present their results at the end of the program in Minneapolis.
Moreover, the WU Executive MBA is top listed in international rankings. In the latest Financial Times (FT) Executive MBA Ranking the WU Executive MBA came in with a respectable rank 52 out of the top 100 programs in the world. In terms of Career Progress, Work Experience and International Students the program was ranked 24, 30 and 35. In 2006 the program was ranked among the top 50 MBA programs worldwide by Handelsblatt (Germany). In the MBA Ranking of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) in 2005 the program was ranked No.1 in terms of alumni satisfaction.

Tuition and Fees
The total program fee is EUR 25,000 – 30,000,- for the Professional MBA and EUR 37,000,- for the Executive MBA program. This fee includes course materials, examination fee and break catering.Lodging and travel costs are not covered by the program fee. The program fee is exempt from VAT according to § 6 section 12 Austrian Value Added Tax Law.

The blocked modules (in-class time) take place in Vienna.Executive MBA:
Additional to the modules in Vienna three field studies of 9 days each to Asia (Bangalore, Shanghai), CEE (St. Petersburgh, Bucarest) and the USA (New York, Minneapolis) are organized.
Professional MBA:
Depending on the Professional MBA specialization chosen, field studies e.g. to Paris, Bucharest, Boston are organized additional to the regular teaching modules.
