Advice needed for MBA
Can anyone help me in finding out the best college/university for a single year MBA program within Asian countries like Singapore, China, Hong Kong, etc.Tue May 05, 2009 07:15 PM I am having more than 5 yrs of work experience with a very less GMAT score of 510. I am not expecting the scholarship but a good college/university with the details stated. |

But your GMAT score should be 700+ (or at least 650+ with a stellar work experience or extra-curriculars). [Edited by bianca on 06 May 2009] |

I'd also add HKUST, Tsinghua, Pekin U, HKU, Chinese U, National University of Singapore to the bunch. --- |

My apologies. I overlooked "single year" in the original post. But if you're interested , HKUST does have an EMBA program (partnered wtih Kellogg) --- [Edited by MBAAdmCracker on 06 May 2009] |

Thanks for all the helpful suggestions but as the GMAT score is so less like 510 only, can my 5 + years of work experience be helpful to get admission for a 1 year MBA course.

Wed May 06, 2009 10:55 PM Thanks for all the helpful suggestions but as the GMAT score is so less like 510 only, can my 5 + years of work experience be helpful to get admission for a 1 year MBA course. It depends on the work experience. Seriously, even with a good work experience, a top tier MBA such as INSEAD will be hard to get into if you have less than 650 at your GMAT. And 5+ years of experience is just average for a 1 year MBA anyway. I'm in no way a GMAT whore, but if you don't plan to improve on your GMAT, you'd better have extremely solid work experience or extra curriculars, otherwise you may need to revise your plan on attending a top 1 year MBA. |

Hey, How do you study for your GMAT? You can definitely improve your score. Also, if you're going to count on your 510 GMAT to get in, then you're going to have to put a lot of work on your essays and have some good stories to tell. --- |

The average work experience is 7 years, so you should feel at home there. |

Advice needed for MBA
Hi all,Sat Jun 27, 2009 12:11 PM I work for Hult International Business School and I think it might definitely be worth looking into. It offers a one-year MBA program (www.hult.edu/mba-program/our-program/curriculum) and the average GMAT score is 530 due to the importance admissions stresses on work experience and leadership ability. Here's a link to the Shanghai MBA (www.hult.edu/mba-program/campuses/shanghai) that is offered, and Hult's MBA program in Duabi (www.hult.edu/mba-program/campuses/dubai) as well. Best of luck! |

Advice needed for MBA
Hi again,Fri Jul 03, 2009 05:16 AM Just wanted to clarify something from my last post. Hult offers a one-year MBA program with only one module in Shanghai--it's not an entire year-long program. The one year programs are offered at the Dubai, Boston and London campuses, in which six weeks of electives can be taken in Shanghai through a Global Rotation Program. Sorry, perhaps that's not exactly what you're looking for after all! |
