Hi,Sun Mar 15, 2009 05:48 AM I have done my graduation in electronics engineering with a first class from Mumbai University, India. 2 years of work experience in Software industry, an Indian MNC. Distinction in SSC & HSC. I have a Conditional offer letter of Greenwich university in hand, should i take it? How good is that university? Is it value for money? Is it accredited? Should i also apply for Sheffield Haalam? [Edited by patilami on 15 Mar 2009] |

Dear patilami,Mon Mar 16, 2009 02:43 PM I just surfed the website of this school for 30 min, trying to get some information about the accreditation, and i came out empty handed! if it is that hard to find out, this could only mean that they don't have any/have only unimportant ones! i would be careful with this school - you should contact them and ask for the accreditation. about the rankings: a schools that not accredited by at least one body, is not really likely to be ranked. they do seem to offer a India related program that might be of use to you if you are planing on keeping working at your current employer. Let us know what they answer, A. |

if you can't find it on the website, it usually means trouble.

Greenwich Univesity is accredited and awards accredited degrees.Tue Jun 09, 2009 03:02 PM There are 4 bodies which can grant accredation for institutions to award degrees in the UK - they are: The Privy Council ASIC (Accredation Services for International Colleges) BAC (British Accredation Council) & The British Council (for Eglish Language Courses) If you want to know more the governement website which can imnform you is: www.dcfs.gov.uk look under recognised degrees. You can also look at www.accreditedcolleges.co.uk for some more general info on accreditied schools and universities. Greenwich should indeed make more of its accredation, make it more visible and up front. [Edited by catherine taylor on 09 Jun 2009] |
