EMBA Selectivity??
Hello to all,Sat Nov 08, 2008 01:36 AM I've just applied to the International School of Management (ISM) in Paris, France and I was wondering if anyone knows how selective their admissions committee will be. I've heard that it varies a lot between programs. Anyone have any idea? [Edited by angela freemont on 08 Nov 2008] |

EMBA Selectivity??
www.businessweek.com/bschools/03/emba_profiles/ism…Wed Nov 19, 2008 01:15 AM Looks like 20 to 30% selectivity... facts like these are easy to find, just look up on any major ranking site. |

Yep. You can also check out the Financial Times and the Economist's websites for this kind of information.

EMBA Selectivity??
It is an indication of how selective the admissions committee is about who they admit to the program. So, what it tells me at least is how competitive it is for qualified applicants to gain a seat in the class. But it isn't really very important. There are some good schools out there that are not highly selective.

Most of the profiles you find on the economist, FT, Businessweek etc. will give you an indication of how many applicants there are every year. If not, then you can work it out by looking at the numbers they give re. applicants who were/were not successful, taking into account the figures for those who actually took up a place once offered one. Similarly, if you look at an individual school's website they should have all the same, and perhaps even more information. Sat Nov 29, 2008 12:22 PM I agree with the above - there are good schools out there which are not as selective as other good schools, but the very best once are highly selective, and competition for places is therefore much greater. |
