I am totally in love with this site..especially the discussion board..i have been reading Lukeh for long now n i appreciate his counselling..its nice to have someone sensible advise u especialy when most of us here are at a juncture when an advise like his' acts as a serious guideline.

Anyways..I would request someone to help me with information on CIIM MBA prog. I do have an admission call from them but I am not sure if i should consider it. Haven spoken to a few guys from the college..they market it as a good bet for money and so much more...but i really have my doubts.
Besides among its accreditions, it mentioned being a 'member of ACCSB' which I suspect holds any value.
Being loctaed in Cyprus..will this degree have any value in other counties? and the employment prospects?
Can I consider this offer as a possible prospect or shall i turn it down?

Please advise..
the website www.ciim.ac.cy
Thank u

I suggest that you should not go for CIIM. It will be of not much value. Even It's not cheap. The fee itself will cost you Rs. 10,00000. And, what after completion of the programme. They will not be able to offer you the placement, which you may be looking for. All this information is based on my research, which I have done on net. Hope this much is enough....

Hi guys,
I think the value will be limited to the region, because employer from Cyprus, Greece or Turkey might at least relate to the school and appreciate your regional contacts you would be able to establish during you MBA.
So in case you don't want to relocate, why not!

Internationally it is not a name, and you are right with your doubts about the accreditation: being member is not equivalent to an accreditation, and I personally find it a bit fishy always when schools list their memberships in accr. bodies - it certainly to pretend to have accreditation, many people don't know this technical difference.
But on the other hand CIIM is AMBA accredited, that is good news!

As for the fee, it is some 14 500 € all together, not so much for a European MBA. Also, for a different MBA you'd have more costs because of moving to another place, and quite often living expenses can be a lot higher that Cyprus.

In the end it depends more on your goals: Where do you want to work with you MBA in hands?
