MBA or Msc

Hello folks!

I am interested in postgraduate studies in business/management. I haven't yet completed my Bachelor degree but this is on its way-February the very latest.
My undergraduate field is irrelevant to business-Political Science and History.
My working experience is: 4 years in my father's software company (my latest post was Help-desk manager )and also 1.5 year in an insurance company as a HR assistant.
I have an IELTS score of 7.0 and a GMAT of 660.
I would like to apply to Cass Business School for a MBA FT but I don't have the working experience required after graduation so I was thinking of taking a Msc in Management instead and afterwards for a part time MBA while working in the UK..
are there chances for job employment after having a Msc in Managent ? I am also considering Tanaka Business school and LSE.
Any suggestions?

There are chances of employment, of course, but my personal view, if you're thinking of Cass or Tanaka, is that you'd be better off gaining the work experience they're asking for.

Thanks Lukeh for your reply.

Unfortunately I don't have the time to gain the work experience that Cass requires.
London Business School announced the launch of a new Master in Management which seems interesting but quite expensive.
I will proceed with my applications with my fingers crossed :)

That sounds like a good decision to me. Best of luck with the applications!

I have the same dillema, i wanted to perform an MBA, but I don't have the experience needed. I thought about MSc in Management in LBS too.. But many people told me that if I aim to have an MBA later it is useless and better do at first an MSc in Finance. Any syggestion or opinions??

an MSc and a MBA?
Won't that be a bit overdoing it? think of the time it would take you! ++ there would certainly be lots of overlaps between the two. why not just work for a few years and then simply go for a good MBA?

Only my two cents,

Andy

Well, personally I am against doing MBAs without work experience(if you search the forum here, you will probably see im not the only one). as for doing an MSc and then an MBA - Well, as i wrote here before, i think its a bit over doing it.

I would advise you to complete youre becelors, then work for a few years, gaining the experience needed and then go for an MBA.
