MBA in Switzerland
Hey you guys,Sun Mar 11, 2007 02:40 PM I am italian, but I have been working here in Switzerland, in a place between Zurich and St. Gallen since last year. I am looking for a good ranked MBA around here, does anyone of you know a flexible MBA program? I will have to be able to still work in the meanwhile, in order to be able to pay for it. I visit the SBS in Zurich. But I am not convinced about it. Does anyone know it? Waiting for some advice.. Thank you very much. |

You will get many answers in this thread:Sun Mar 11, 2007 05:26 PM www.find-mba.com/board/2707 I don't know anything about SBS, but there is some information about it in the thread above. If you are looking for a fully accredited MBA which is ranked among top international MBA programs, you should look at IMD. They have been ranked among the best programs in Europe and worldwide: www.imd.ch/about/keyfacts/rankings.cfm In your case, depending your position and experience, you may be qualified to enter the EMBA, which would be a flexible program. Admission is very competitive though. |

Tue Mar 13, 2007 07:11 AM You will get many answers in this thread: Thank you so much for your advice.. I wouldn't be able to take a full time MBA Program. I know IMD and also MBA St. Gallen is an accredited one. But the point is I still want to be able to keep my full time job. I am 25 years old and to gain professional experience after my studies is to me the most important thing at the moment. What is EMBA though? I never heard of it.. is it in Zurich? or where? Thanks in advance. |

Wed Mar 14, 2007 08:22 PM What is EMBA though? I never heard of it.. is it in Zurich? or where? An EMBA is not a school, but a special type of MBA offered at most business schools. Executive MBA (EMBA) programs developed to meet the educational needs of managers and executives, allowing students to earn an MBA or another business-related graduate degree in two years or less while working full time. Participants come from every type and size of organization – profit, non-profit, government — representing a variety of industries. EMBA students typically have a higher level of work experience, often 10 years or more, compared to other MBA students. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master_of_Business_Administr… |

Hello Cinizia,Thu Mar 15, 2007 12:38 PM As you understand from Mueller's comment above, an EMBA is nothing for you (yet). To give you an idea: the candidates for the EMBA of IMD f.ex. need to justify of min. 10 years of working experience, and the average is 15 (!) years. [Edited by Irena on 15 Mar 2007] |
