Northumbria Uni MBA
Hi,Mon Oct 12, 2009 11:48 AM Can you guys please tell me how good is Northumbria Uni for MBA.From what i could gather over the internet it seems to be a decent Uni. 1) How is its reputation among employers since it does not hold any accreditions (read some where that EQUIS and AACSB are in line). 2)How difficult is it to get into a good acedemic project, does the college have good tie ups for this. I would love to hear your opnions over Northumbria MBA !!! Regards, Pami. |

Northumbria Uni MBA
okay...u want a straight answer...its NOT good...nobody out here seems to hear about it...A video with hot girls+good music and flashy website doesnt make it a 'decent' Uni/B School...Accreditation does...beware of Advertisers/PRs...u r an investor and a UK Uni is a market...Calculate the return on investment hence choose carefully...Good luck!Sat Oct 17, 2009 03:29 PM _Nes --- [Edited by Nes on 17 Oct 2009] |

Northumbria Uni MBA
Hi mate,Mon Oct 19, 2009 07:30 PM To answer your question, I have to know about yourself, what is your experience your study? Why did you choose Northumbria ? Why an MBA at this point and what will you do with it in the future? I see it as a fit between you and the school and that is more important than anything else. You gotta to know what is good for you really. Be that the choice of partner, career, university or anything in life. But let me tell you an honest and straight answer. Yes i am aware of Northumbria, and it is a ok choice as far as I concern. The school is going through AACSB and EQUIS and hopefully will be accreditted in 2012 if I remember correctly. Recently, they had a big investment in the business school so it has the edge over some others. The reason Northumbria will not get AMBA accredittation any soon is because they tend to let people with a little bit less than 3 years working experience in. The city is vibrant and is not too far from both london and edinburgh, the train is between 2.5 and 3 hours . Newcastle itself is big enough to spend a year in. I think i have writtend the same thing in a previous post so you better look at other threads to find more information. Good luck |
